Purpose
To prepare & support candidates in becoming effective instructors and for them to complete the MCT and/or CompTIA CTT+ requirements.
Intended for
Subject matter experts seeking to become trainers; inexperienced trainers who will benefit from a formalized set of knowledge & skills; experienced trainers who desire a refresher and/or preparation for certification; anyone seeking MCT and CTT+ certification.
Prerequisites
Some training experience is recommended; a commitment to attend and participate in all sessions.
Objectives
To introduce and affirm effective instructional techniques and skills such that the student will be able to confirm that their level of knowledge of effective instruction would be sufficient to pass the CompTIA CBT (TK0-201, knowledge-based exam), and to confirm their level of skills in delivering effective instruction would be sufficient to pass the CompTIA VBT (TK0-202, skills-based exam); to complete the MCT and CTT+ process within 30 days of third webinar session.
Content
Introduction of and drill down into to the CompTIA domains; characteristics of adult learners and effective learning theories; the I-CARE®framework; support resources for a successful training event; aspects of instructional design towards a 20-minute instructional module; completion of the MCT and CTT+ application processes.
Agenda
Pre-course survey and benchmark exam; read handbook; participate in three 3-hour webinars*; offline work (module design, announcement and student analysis); complete 2 practice CBT exams with one score >80%; record & submit 20-minute video along with VBT paperwork for review.

Fee
1. Course fee: $995.00
2. Add CompTIA CBT exam voucher at $225. Add CompTIA VBT exam voucher at $240.
Successful completion
A certificate of completion will be issued if all of the following are successfully met: student will participate as scheduled in three webinar sessions for entire duration; student will pass 1 sample CBT exam with score >80%; student will complete all offline assignments completely and on time; within 30 days of final webinar session student will deliver to OM-Tech a 20-minute video along with approved identification documentation; student will submit applicable CompTIA VBT paperwork; student will fill-out 2 course evaluation instruments (one CEQ and one MTM).

Afterwork: Practice CBT-2 exam; complete module design; make recording of 20-minute module; complete & submit VBT paperwork for review; take CompTIA CBT & VBT exams.
